ECO-TIPS... tips to help the Earth!

Our spring Ultimate Recycling Day Event was a success!

On April 12th at the New Lexington Kroger Parking lot we collected

over 400 tires, 250 gallons of used motor oil, car batteries, numerous appliances,

electronics, and household batteries.

April & May are Perry County CLEAN-UP Months!

Youth Groups and Communities are encouraged to work with local officials who may already

be planning a community clean-up!

Always remember SAFETY FIRST in all clean-up events!

PerCo Recycling Center accepts daily household items: aluminum cans, steel food cans

(they could be recycled into a bike part in their next life!),

#1 plastics (such as pop and water bottles) & #2 plastic (such as milk jugs and detergent bottles),

REMEMBER with plastics: look for the number inside the recycle triangle molded in plastic located near bottom of container plastic codes Borrowed from Project Green Bag, plastic recycle codes, what do they mean?

clear & brown glass bottles, corrugated brown cardboard boxes,

newspapers, magazines and white office paper.   

Promote recycling!
